Thanks so much for this series of videos! My manager and I were arguing about how the fuel system worked on our D4D CAE2 (BL60), and this perfectly explained it all! You're very articulate about the way the parts work. That fuel control rod is a crazy design! I'm curious: it looks like there is only one cam shaft, which sits right below the injector pumps. Are the pumps driven by that cam directly, and then the valves are running off the same cam, by push-rods? Also, is the oil pump on the rear of the block? Fascinating engine, thank you for any answers you can provide :)

Nice. Did you find it difficult to source new parts? Gaskets, seals, orings, and other stuff?

A lot of the stuff you can find online. Ebay has stuff, you have to use different spacing of the motor type for some reason. The volvo and deutz dealer are super expensive.

@@sunandabhunia5726 Yes, It has the proper size shims for each injector so the cam will have the injector working at the proper time. If you replace the injector with a new one you have to replace the shim with the proper size for that particular injector.
