Just thinking if I had embroidered that doily which had “seen a better day” (as my Grandma who embroidered all her life would have said) I would be thrilled you gave it a new life in your artistic expression. Look forward to seeing the finished piece. Only, thing I’d do differently is to put a little pint on the white flowers. lol…

You might post some pics of the quilts for which you are looking for patterns of….. I’m sure someone can help you identify them. We have a lot of quilters here In the States that focus on Civil War era quilts - also there are several civil war reproduction fabrics that are lighter colors as well. Good luck!
