I owned a mrk 2 XR2 in dark blue and with the pepper pot wheels in the 90s and to this day I wished I still had it. One of the best cars Ford make. And the seats with the headrest were the best seats I ever sat in. Hurts to see all these ford's rotting away.

I was 50 this year and most of these cars were built when I was in my teens and twenties I started with a 16 Capri then two xr3is then a whiteB reg RS turbo which I traded in for a G reg 20 sapphire that looked like a cosy! ( what a bellend!) I like the way you see good in all the cars you looked at even the well used ones.

Just do oil and filter and look after it got a X reg mk3 Escort 1.6 Ghia had oil and filter every 4000 miles with out fail goes like a train

I used to go Uncle Ian's place from the latter part of the 80's till he shut up shop in the early 00's .. Grahem based his business on Ian's and bought him out taking the very same 📞number H used to be glued to from 1973 onwards discussing and selling everything MK1 & MK2 related plus other bits and bobs . You lot wouldn't believe the prices I used to see running driving cars at there ..

Back Then Every car got "Clocked " ( Mileometer wound back everytime they were sold. ) A Ford Capri will cover 100,000 miles & the interior should look like is was Never sat in. I had a few. Escort Mk4 Van I did 115,000 miles the Seat was Just Brand New. Many fords went right around the clock a few times over.
