Where do I start! I’m new to Coloured pencil drawing, as using “normal” paper played havoc with my hands, which I found very hard on my old hands. But after looking at all your KZbin channel, and listening to your advice, I thought I would give this Badger tutorial a try. And, Wow, am I glad I did. Your instruction and guidance are very clear and precise, I can’t praise it highly enough! I have a birthday coming up and will be asking for a subscription to your Patreon channel as a present, so I can learn from you and give something back in return. I only have Polychromos Pencils and Prismacolor pencils, so I am mixing the nearest I can to your suggestions (I also use a comparison Pencil Chart by Karen Hull, which has been invaluable). I have a couple of questions, if I may, Will you be doing more lessons/tutorials with the drafting paper and can you give an idea of what pan pastel colours to purchase as I don’t want to order colours that I won’t use. Hello! Thank you so much for your lovely message, I’m so glad you enjoyed the badger tutorial. On my Patreon there’s many more tutorials where I work on drafting film, and I also work quite a lot on extra white hot pressed Fabriano Artistico. They are kind of opposite surfaces but I love them both! In terms of pan pastels, I only have a small selection of neutral colours. There’s 5 I’d recommend, which would be the ‘Black’, ‘Raw Umber Tint’, ‘Raw Umber’, ‘Burnt Sienna Tint’ and the ‘Phthalo blue tint’ 🤗

Hi Becca, thanks for your quick response, I'll look at getting the pan pastels you recommended, and I'll be joining your patron at the end of January. I'm up to lesson 4 on the Badger tutorials and am looking forward to completing it and hopefully framing. I'm sure with your talent you will be a well-known and very well-respected artist in the near future.👍
