In Australia 1961 Vespa G S we had what was called a lap rug with air box open, muffler had three half inch x6inchpipes welded (into original muffler.what an amazing sound the cost of the scooter new was aust 700 pounds 🇦🇺🦘👍👍👍👍

Trouble is there’s so many ex & present riders saying the reason they’ve bought a RA / Scomadi or even a gts is because Lambrettas breakdown too frequently.. It’s just an excuse.. My Li125 S3 traveled 20 miles off 13k before it needed new rings & brg's & seals. before that I'd had two throttle cables go,& lost the rear layshaft / hub nut & lock washer etc.& a few bits that rattled off.. but not anymore ( loctite ) 😂 Loving your videos

great series mate, perfect ballance between serious and funny. Definately agree about carrying a spare CDI but keep in mind that they usually fail trhough vibration so always a good idea to rubber mount them and keep the spare in a bubble wrap bag or similar if its going in the tool box

16.4 hp from that little engine? Thats crazy!! That must be an insanely fun thing to ride!! Ive got a 230cc 6spd motorcycle that had 11hp then added a bigger piston,camshaft porting and only got bumped to 17hp...seems to me ive fallen short and need to figure out what ive done wrong. In the meantime im going to see if i cant find a vintage Lambretta here in the Philippines. Im curious now! Ive never messed around with scooters except to use one to get around town..never modified anything but a couple Harleys,A 68 BSA ,A Triumph.. Hmmm 16.4 hp on a little bike like that? Bet its terrifyingly fun and unhinged!

@@getoffenit7827 this is only a cheap budget small block engine… its quite easy to achieve 35-40 bhp with off the shelf kits/parts (although they cost a lot more!!) getting 225-260cc and 100mph+ on the road … lambrettas are surprisingly stable with a low centre of gravity… although being used to bikes you mind find it abit more ‘interesting’ at high speeds! 😀, there’s a healthy lambretta following in the Philippines… you should search it up…
