Just finished watching your clips on maintaining the S class Mercedes. Fantastic, really useful! I've been toying with the idea of buying a 9 0r 10 year old S320 CDI to last me through the next 10 years of my driving life but have been a bit nervous about the cost of repairing the faults inevitable in a car of that age. You have made me realize that it's perfectly possible to have a go at some of them myself. I hope you keep the clips coming. Many thanks.

Thank you Jim for your comment. You are right, you can maintain your Mercedes yourself. The S-Class is an amazing car and ahead of almost all vehicles. One just has to appreciate that more systems mean more things that can go wrong. Nevertheless the comfort and pleasure you get from S-Class is worth every effort. I hope you find yourself a good S-Class.

do you mean before assembling the cluster I have to connect it to the car and put the key to position 1. Then move the needle clock wise then anti clockwise. Ok move the needle clockwise (where I have to stop)? What about the speedometer? The same ?

Cool video. I have a 2002 S500 and the check engine light burnt out. Is there a way to replace only the bulb? If I get another cluster will the original mileage appear on the new cluster? Thanks
@WaqasAhmed-kj8ue9 жыл бұрын
Al A Hi, Thank you. You can certainly replace the bulb easily, it is not difficult at all. Regarding the new cluster; the mileage is stored on the cluster and you will lose the previous millage. The cluster can be reprogrammed for the millage. You can only increase the millage if you have your own Star system, decreasing it requires you to go to Mercedes and this is done using the same software but authenticated with an online server, which Mercedes control. The most important issue you face when putting in the new cluster is, some of the options as they will have to be reconfigured. For example if you have Tyre Pressure Monitoring system, the menu item may or may not appear. In either case it is not difficult to enable it. I have purchased my own Star system and will be publishing videos on how to do some of these options. Hope above helps. Regards Waqas

My Mercedes w220 has a problem in its cluster's menu small screen, it's kinda like a crashed screen, doesn't show me info in the middle part of it. Do you have any idea how can I fix it? Does it have any thing to do with the transformers?
@WaqasAhmed-kj8ue9 жыл бұрын
Mosammgroup Hi, if the screen is illuminated but the text is scrambled, then it may be a matter of cleaning the contacts for the display. I have not come across such a problem, therefore cannot advise properly, however I can confirm that it would not be related to the transformers.
