We have an air to air heat pump. We live in Central France where winters can be very hard. There is no gas. Heating is either electric or wood burning. It was -9C last night. Inside it was a cosy 19C. Thats a 28 deg differential. The HP coped very well. The house is very well insulated. Total consumption of electricity was 13.4 kWh. That equates to 2.28 € pus tax for 24 hrs. No more lighting wood fires. The dark side is very warm. Keep going Mr.Tomkat.

This is all great but going back to gas, have you seen the KZbin vid posted up a couple of days ago showing an amateur rebuilding a Bermuda 551? It's a shocker
