Jesus, I waited through four and a half of these videos for Buddy to actually speak and boy does he make it worth the wait. I clearly would have been a Rogers fan if I had been born in the 1930s or 40s

I wish he spoke more on the panel. But it was worth the wait!

Would have been great to see Buddy and Lou have a one-to-one conversation, and then also field questions from the audience. Not possible, I know, but one can dream.

This is pre-internet, before the resurgence of interest in wrestling history. The event wasn't equipped to even take advantage of the occasion of having Buddy Rogers and Lou Thesz, two of the top names of the golden age of wrestling. 10:43 Buddy was gone a matter of months later. Lou went on 10 more years. Also interesting to hear Lou put over Ghulam Muhammad a-k-a Gama Pehalwan Thanks so much for sharing this! Now a piece of history

Buddy looks so thrilled and amused to be seated next to Thesz. Great content, John. Thanks for posting these!

Thesz said he and Rogers got on well and they'd talk in German.

Buddy seems like someone’s cool grandpa... but this shows that the older generation always dislikes what is going on after them.. buddy is talking about how using snakes isn’t wrestling but a lot of fans today and 30 years ago loved it... and fans from 30 years ago hate what’s going on now

I believe Lou Thess trained Kiyoshi Tamura the year prior. For those who don't know Tamura, he is probably the greatest technician of the past 30 years. Very strong but also very fast and a lot of charisma too
