I feel the same way, I’d rather buy a pdf or spend more money for a quality book with nice paper 😁

Andrea I used to buy some of the CreateSpace books that had a pdf included in the cost (like Jade Summers for example), as the books that included a pdf were about the cost of a pdf alone, but most have stopped including the pdf. I guess there have been a couple of CreateSpace books I’ve purchased and copied pages onto better paper just because the pictures interested me, but those were the early Kerby Rosannes ones and one Bennett Klein. If i’m willing to spend about the same amount on a pdf as on a CreateSpace book, I might as well buy the CreateSpace book and copy it, but I guess it’s my personal rebellion against CreateSpace and the authors that use the service that I don’t. Lol

I’m going to try clear gesso on my Crete space colouring books I heard that this medium allows you to use pencils and paints on this paper with ease.

Gesso doesn’t really work as well on CreateSpace paper, in my opinion. The paper’s too thin and warps and wrinkles. Gesso has worked best on medium paper for me. If you try it, I hope you have good luck with it! (I have scanned/copied pictures out of my CreateSpace books on to better paper, and that works really well. But seems kind of a waste of paper and time and money)

I enjoyed it. I buy all my coloring books online so I appreciate your videos and flip through. I like the books you showed. So many I like and want to buy one day. I am not sure about grayscale too. I feel inhibited by it. I only use colour pencils so I am not sure if create space paper would work well for me. I get arthritis in my hands so that is a concern. Could you please have closer images as you flip through. The light lines and distance makes it hard to see. I subscribed and want to let you know I really appreciate your time and effort in making them. Love from New Zealand.

Thank you so much Susanna!!😊❤️❤️ With the Createspace books, the only thing I can recommend if you want to use colored pencils only, is to copy it onto cardstock or some colorist copy it onto Strathmore Toned Tan/Grey sketch paper. I only have one more video to show the rest of my books, if the lines look light or fine, I’ll try to remember to show a closer view of the images I show.👍🏼 Thank you so much for letting me know! I don’t like most create space paper books, but if I find illustrations from books I like, since they’re mostly inexpensive, I either get them in a pdf format or just scan and print them on nicer paper :)

Exactly!!😊 You have to find alternative ways to color when you like the illustrations from Createspace books. I do hope that they change the paper in the future. The paper in Christine Karrons books is different but I haven’t colored in it yet. I’m going to have to try my pencils out in that book.👍🏼
