Is it true that a lot of times judges will "punish" you for losing in trial with harsher sentences than you would have otherwise gotten simply because they're pissed off you "wasted" court time and money being tried? Is it also advisable to reject the first plea offer or early deals presented to you up until the last moment before trial date? Not asking because I'm in a position where I "need" this advice, but I am curious and you never know some day.

I charged with assault with a deadly weapon,assault causing serious injuries. Went to trial and ended up as a mistrial. 2 weeks later the DA is trying to get me to plea for a misdemeanor simple assault or go back to trail

I’m going thru this right now.. it’s not a violence case. Traffic. Car accident. The only offer has been 1 yr in jail. I still get a felony and another additional 2 yrs probation, and it’s in Detroit Michigan. Wayne County for a year. My license was suspended and there was an accident and people were hurt. I don’t know if proving I was not at fault would make a difference. My License is still suspended. My lawyer couldn’t answer the question. I don’t know what to do

@@tradelikeapro-n2v your joking right my case has been adjourned three times cause my attorney did the Zion foster trial. Then they adjourned also for NFL draft in Detroit, and my attorney had not spoken to prosecutors again. But the reconstructionist hired did a shit job. Which is a violation of my rights and my attorney has done nothing. He’s ethically bound when hired by the court to give accurate and thorough reporting. He did not. The length of time this all has cost me. With the initial 262 days is beyond prejudicial I’m filing my own motion, for dismissal of charges against the state for violation of my 4, and 6th amendment rights. Asking for dismissal without prejudice.

If the prosecutor tells you that the other defendant will testify against you and you file a guilty plea in order to evade testifying, then you find out that he is not on the witness list and the attorney general did not ask the partner to testify against the rest of the partners

Question?? I was arrested for A assault charge they held me for only 6months then gave me a PR bond and put me in a Pretrail Diversion Program till i go back to Court . Once gonna be my OutCome when i go to Court next month??

I hear it's stealing to take something out of the landfill if it is is it valued the same as stealing that same item brand new out of the store and is the charge the same as stealing that same item out of the US mail I'm not in the situation but I'm just wondering about how the law works thank you
