PART 1: A very rare U.S. sighting of an Antonov AN-124 Ukranian cargo plane. She was nice enough to sit and pose for around ten minutes (see Part II video for the posing). Only 26 of these massive planes are still in service. The An-124 is the world's second heaviest gross weight production cargo airplane and heaviest operating cargo aircraft, behind the destroyed one-off Antonov An-225 Mriya and the Boeing 747-8. The An-124 remains the largest military transport aircraft in service.

Not many of them, true, so a rare sighting in that regard, but I wouldn't say it is rare for one of ADB's 124s to be in the States. They're more frequently on the east coast but they are very definitely here on a regular basis. 😊
