I changed from power lifts to ovals and I changed my thumb 1/8 forward. It has helped me to get out the ball a little cleaner.

Depends on the lanes.. I used Purple Pearl Urethane on synthetic, did great but not necessary for that kind of lane Used Hammer Taboo&DV8 Trouble Maker after almost same average Urethane is for the natural wood, lots of oil type of lanes… though those are few&far between in todays time Pba pros only have to bowl on natural wood 4times the entire season?!?

Not the best reason in the world but urethane was too specific. When it worked it worked but when it didn’t it was a waste of a spot in my bag. I feel like yes urethane is good but sometimes I can get a reactive ball to get through other peoples urethane or create the same results as that urethane ball.

My problem, i have balls i bought and still don't understand what one to use when amd what im supposed to be seeing

I’ve been through that before. I just go to the lanes and practice. I stand at different places and throw different lines until I see how it shapes. Then I’ll get another ball and throw the same lines so I can tell the difference between the two
