Great playing. I don’t think I have ever heard a modeler come anywhere near these tones. I have a Ruby and It is so easy to fit it into the mix- never have to mess with going through the signal chain to find my “slot”

I thought I’d be more of a Dream 65 guy but the Ruby was my fave of the group with the Lion as a close second.

@@markhopkinsmusic so far I’ve used my Dream and Ruby as preamps in front of my Bloomfield Drive, not bad. Playing them direct into monitors produced a hiss, didn’t feel right, so I just ordered a UA Volt 266 to go that route. I’m super excited.

Great demo! I’m using a Quad Cortex gigging last 2yrs, but want to put some of my great pedals to use. I got a UA lion 68 last week and a store has got the Ruby on a 40% off sale, so I’m gonna use both with my pedals for a change. Really like the QC but really looking forward to a Ruby & Lion combo! 🤩

Worth it. The Protein really sounds great with it. I've heard that combination live with a Strymon Timeline and Bigsky, and it is delicious.

nice dude. tone touch and taste! i really dig that ruby…i have my board with a ua golden verb which is fantastic >mesa cali tweed >ox > apollo >luna set up so fairly versed in UA stuff…i have the woodrow in plugin form in luna and thats also pretty great… but I’ve always wanted a box the more I play the more I dig that that tone I just like the idea of getting it in in a little box instead of having to commit to another amp.

@@markhopkinsmusic indeed. i’d be happier if they upped their game on customer service a little bit sometimes it’s good. If you get a hold of someone other times it’s nonexistent and you have to trudge through the forms. Also, I wish they would support Ox more. but yeah.

That is the OCE Pedals Wrench. It’s my favorite fuzz hands down. Just a simple fuzz face circuit but it feels great under the fingers.

I wish i could get tones like that out of my Ruby. I can dial in the Dream 65 perfectly fine, but the Ruby i struggle with.

That’s so weird. Have you tried using the app and saving presets you dig as a base tone?

They see #30 controls are very different and often times in reverse of other guitar amps so if you want to get a good tone how to use the presets or watch a video about how the AC 30 works and it will help you.

The fizz/crackling as the notes decay is annoying :(! Feels like a bad AD converter(digital clipping kinda sound) . They should settle this problem (same on The OX)

This company is mocking its customers on forums under the name UADrew who claims to be a CEO at the company. I will be returning the two pedals of theirs I recently bought, and not purchasing or endorsing them at all. Shame on this company.

@@UniversalAudio It was in the thread where you sarcastically told a customer "dont read the contract for the app" and he did and he posted concerning lines from it about how UA collects your internet data, scrapes your browser history etc. I think you confirm there you said you were CEO. (Of markerting?). Honestly after reading about 20 pages of that thread I was pretty disgusted. You then talked about how you were blocking everyone that was being critical of the pedals (who were voicing concerns about how they work, if they are actually stereo, etc). Leaves an extremely bad taste in a customers mouth to see a company acting that way. You have also never revealed what sample rate the pedals are, which tells me they are 44.1 or 48. UAs lack of transparency and general creepiness with the app thing and a controlling account over pedals everything, just a massive turn off.
