Part of Class on Herbs that Can Help with Spring Allergies- Goldenrod Oxymel

This was part of a class that I taught locally on herbs for allergies. We mainly focused on the herb, Goldenrod. During class we did make a goldenrod oxymel. Oxymels are a great way to infuse your herbs into a liquid/ solid. Oxymels are made with equal parts vinegar and honey, and your herbs of course. I usually only put about 1/2 or a little less- of my herbs into a jar before adding the apple cider vinegar and then the raw honey. Raw honey can help allay spring allergies when it is local honey.
We did also wind up adding some Shavegrass to our oxymels, as Horsetail, Shavegrass is very good for helping the kidneys drain, and opening up the solar plexus chakra. This is key to reducing the impact of allergies on the body.
