I’ve gotta admit, I’m a real stickler for this song. I don’t like when most people sing it and after watching a behind the scenes video of Jodi Benson recording it, I understand why. Most people fail to really understand it or they misinterpret the meaning the words and phrases. That is why I really enjoyed your cover because even during the big moments, you still held back and showed a bit of restraint, some vulnerability. Yes it’s a big and powerful song, but what makes it great is that wistfulness, that sense of “what if” that accompanies even the highest points of the song. You showed that very well and for that I thank you! 😊
