What scares me about the Bugout bag mentioned is the mentality of the person who put it together. There was no food or other essentials because they clearly intend to take those things from others by force. No matter how foolish the person who made that bag never forget a fool with a gun is probably the most dangerous thing you may have to deal with.

I think it can’t be understated how crucial humour is to fascism. It’s a specific type of humour that Orwell skirted the edges of in 1984: “There will be no laughter, except the laugh of triumph over a defeated enemy.” If you listen to fascist “humour” it’s all really coming from a place of contempt for their enemy. Not triumph but contempt. Trump embodies it perfectly, and it’s a cornerstone of the fascist movement
