Loni’s speaking facts. Azriel herself pressured her family to go and be with R Kelly at a hotel for music purposes and they told her she wasn’t allowed to go. It just doesn’t make sense to me how she got on tv trying to say she “never wanted to sing”. Then whats your version of why you were FIGHTING with your family to be around Robert at 17? For what reason? Like, you trying to throw your parents under the bus to save that man isn’t helping your case ma’am.

Loni’s continued emphasis away from the victims saying “It’s in the past , we need to worry about the future” was very disheartening. While we can’t change what has happened to the victims , if their cases still lie within the statue of limitations, then they deserve to receive justice. (Healing as a victim of sexual assault is a process. With one phase likely being denial, which “his women” appear to be in ). They need counseling, rehabilitation and support ... not to be disregarded because it happened in the past.

@@Mskyraelise I one hundred percent agree but as the mother of two daughter's, I know my role is to protect them and keep them out of harm's way, and not make it easier for a predator to get too them. Leticia Hidalgo I agree as a mother of a daughter as well I agree that I NEVER would have taken my child to an R Kelly concert let alone get on stage with him considering he is a old man and ALL of his concerts are way to sexual I wouldn’t even want to go either! But continuing to talk about the parents fault is a deflection in my opinion. We cannot change the past, all we can do is stop him from hurting others in the future. It’s like when a child goes missing and the police ask a million questions that seem to not pertain to the situation and everyone is frustrated thinking of how much time they are wasting. He needs accountability. You can receive justice as well as "professional help". The two are not mutually exclusive. Lonnie the people who are saying they blame the parents are deflectors! They know darn well Joycelyn's and Azriel's parents DID NOT give R Kelly permission to sexually assault their children. THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Like I've said on other post, R Kelly has a very impressive resume. He has worked with a large majority of A-listed artist such as Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige --- I mean a simple google search will turn up a lot of names. And these ppl worked w/him post Aaliyah. If the parents are to blame. THEN THE REST OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS TO BLAME AS WELL!! Because all the blacks were still packing out his concerts and buying his music!!
@MsMockingbird065 жыл бұрын
Rainy5062002 Everyone who supported R.Kelly during and after knowing that he married Aaliyah are to blame (black folks aren’t the only ones who have supported him), the parents are to blame for connecting their daughters with him after knowledge of the allegations, R.Kelly is to blame for the actions of sexual misconduct. ALL parties are to blame imo.

Cough* cough* seungri. I know most of the people don't know kpop but there is a man name seungri who was apart of a kpop group name Big bang and he did... Illegal things. He was involved in a sex scandal, but he wasn't the only one involved. Politicians, police officers and even other kpop idols were involve. The scandal was about them recording and raping sex workers. Not only that but they did it while they were unconscious... Like they drugged them. So now there are text messages going around about how they joked of raping the girls. Even though seungri didn't physically rape them but he had many women globally selling them on his phone, the whole situation is a mess. But my point is that these type of things happen globally and it's so sick.

R Kelly is most certainly aware that what he's doing is wrong. He has been able to get away with everything because of his celebrity, the enablers who exist on his payroll, and the reality that when it comes to the black community, we don't acknowledge sexual abuse and hold abusers accountable for his actions. In the #MeToo era, karma has finally come around to have the pied piper of R&B pay for his past digressions.
