you're one of the youtubers I watch that actually feels like a friend and when you casually told AJ that Vinny was "in the nursery" it made me kind of emotional. like girly, you have a nursery now! your baby is on his way! everything you guys fought and prayed for is finally happening. idk it was just one of those "wow, God really is good" moments. I'm so happy for you❤

You’re going to be a great mom. I’ll never forget what my pediatrician said to me when I was meeting with him nearing the end of my pregnancy and trying to decide on who to choose as my son’s doctor. I was asking him about which books I should read to make sure I did all the right things for my son and making sure he hit all his milestones, etc. He said “just love that baby.” He was so right. That’s what it’s all about. God will guide you through this and you’ll be the perfect mother for your perfect sweet baby. ❤

In my experience, I also waited for my motherly instincts to “kick in” one day, but for me it was just gradual learning, day by day. It’s not like one day you just wake up and know what to do (unfortunately LOL). When my baby would cry I’d just try the 3 main causes (hungry, sleepy, gassy) and learn her cues!! You’re going to be an amazing mom 💕

I totally understand your comment about motherhood instincts! Luckily breastfeeding is a skill that can be learned and there are so many techniques and adjustments you can learn and try to make it work for you and your baby. I highly recommend getting the contact info for an IBCLC that is covered by your insurance before birth so you’re able to reach out to them if you need it. Wishing you well!

I loved the Mamma Natural classes but my husband and I also did the babycare and infant CPR at our hospital and it was SO fun! We loved being in a class with other couples and hear their questions we forgot about. Another plus is learning the CPR on the test babies. It was super helpful!

I completed the Baby Academy birthing class and I thought it was very thorough. I'm 28 weeks along. They really made me think about things I was not even thinking about. I'm going to be a first time mom as well and while I was present for the birth of my siblings, this is all new to me and I'm honestly not prepared. Like I honestly thought your milk would come once the baby is here but nope mines started coming yesterday after being sick for some days.

You will do great through birth and motherhood!! If you are worried about it and trying to consume knowledge then that already speaks volumes about you being a good mom. Confidence booster about birth for you- I was worried I wouldn’t be able to handle to pain very well (I planned to have an unmedicated home birth). I went into labor a little early but it wasn’t how I expected it so I thought it was just pre labor pains and I was just being a baby. I waited forever to have my midwife check me because I was sure I was just having false labor. Then when she checked me I was fully dilated and ready to push. 😅 It was a huge confidence boost- I went from thinking I was being a baby to super empowered that I did all that so calmly. Long story long if you keep God at the forefront of your mind and lean on him and try to stay as calm as possible it’s not as bad as I expected it to be. I had a completely average birth with no complications so this is of course just my experience. But I hope you read this and settles your nerves a little. I actually enjoyed it- it was painful and exhausting but SOOOO empowering. Right after my son was born I told my husband “that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be”.

I really recommend the birth classes at Memorial Regional Healthcare System I took my classes at West which is located on Flamingo and Pines. I recommend their birth class, postpartum, newborn, and breastfeeding class. They also have a c section class if you know you’re getting one. They’re each $10 and you can take your partner you can do online or in person. In person they give you a book and goodies I highly recommend. ❤
