Yes, many miles to go before I seep. The weather might not be the greatest but what a ride , so close to the sea, gotta love it. If it wasn’t for these videos, I wouldn’t get to see the beautiful scenery, I find this fascinating. Thank you for this. Thanks for sharing. Tony.

That sunset footage of Jura was epic Sandy! Here in the States ,there was a big news story about 3 months ago ,warning people about a Scottish land owner scam. Glad to see Dickie actually was able to find his plot.

Unfortunately for Dickie the scam wasn't that the land didn't exist but that it was trust land and couldn't be sold in the first place. The money he spent went straight to the scammers bank account.

Loving this series Sandy. My Fad was sent to live with his grand parents on Isley during the war. My great grand parents are both buried there. Scotland is a beautiful country.

George Orwell wrote 1984 on the island of Jura. What a sunset and beautiful view to greet you in the morning. Had to laugh at Dickie's plot of land. Laird of McScrubland-in-the-Arse-End-of-Nowhere 😀Terrific adventure though, nice one guys

Thank you Sandy for another look into your Scottish trip, lovely area to ride around the Mull of Kintyre, if you got the chance to get to the small village of Saddle after Campbeltown that was the beach that Wings and Paul McCartney sang the famous song, shame about the weather but hope you guys got through it ok, thanks again , Mitch

Had some great kayak trips around Jura then out to Islay wild camped all around but sad it was 1978 oh we bivied at Glengarisdale bothy ouch my first ticks in a sensitive place

Jura looks incredible across the blue sound. Nice trek to the Lords terra firma, passing some lovely old gnarly trees and a gloriously ancient graveyard too. Hopefully on part 3 you found a near, warm and dry pub to chill out in. Rain and gales always look nicer from a view behind a window!!!!!

Such an interesting adventure Sandy, the weather has been an absolute nightmare at times but you guys keep persisting right along. I guess a decision to go on or return to home will be the beginning of part 3. Either way that you choose, your journey has still been a success my friend. The time spent together with such great friends will be a treasure for certain. Congratulations to Dickie the Scottish land baron lol!!!! See you on the next one.

Lord Dickies estate looked nice. Lots of interesting scenery. Hammering wind and rain could have held off a bit for your tour. Looking forward to seeing how it all works out. It wouldn't be an adventure if it was easy the whole way.

I really have enjoyed parts 1 and 2. The Sound of Jura looks spectacular. The rain on your tent brings back many memories of being stormed bound over the years. The memorial in Lockerbie was very touching, I remember it as if it were yesterday. I went back and watched the three videos and debrief from your walk here several years ago and enjoyed those too! Can't wait for part 3...hope you didn't get too drenched! You should ask your friend Dickie for a knighthood.

Been to Scotland several times, work related, tried it on the bike in 2019, got to north wales and the weather was total crap so turned back. Went to a campsite in Snowdonia and got sunburnt, it was great.

Bloody western isles weather, its either glorious or a washout. Some great stills there Sandy especially as they were taken without a tripod. The interesting building you pointed out, is a typical farm steading (Farm yard in England) lots have been converted in multiple homes across the Borders where I live. Jura has an interesting literary connection. In the 1940s George Orwell rented a house there and lived there off and on for a couple of years, and it was there that he wrote Nineteen Eighty-Four.

There's a tiny Island nr Oban ,has a small Ferry to access, between the Island and Mainland, as the Wind blows it makes the noise of ,remember years ago there was a Ribbed plastic tube toy when swung around it made a Howling Noise , sounds just the same but only between the two pieces of land

Generally I think he is enjoying the bike, but it's quite heavy, and a little under powered. Also the centre stand and exhaust fell off, just bolts coming loose, but the worrying thing is it seems quite difficult to get the parts for these bikes at them moment!

Amazing. I'm definitely going to try bike camping this year! How do you find the Elixir tent for touring? I'm trying to decide what tent to get for my first solo bike camping trips.

The Elixir has served me well for the last 3 years. I have used it quite a bit and still very good

You can’t pick the weather hey, all part of the adventure. I’ve had a few camps in atrocious weather, we look back and laugh about it now.
