Dear Bridget, Thank you for sharing this video with us. Special thanks go to Mr. Brown, what a treasure. He would be great in giving us precious stories of his career. His is a lost talent that is fading away. Today everything is done without a care. Doing everything as quickly as possible. Things that were made long ago, were done not in haste, but with care and love, always thinking about whom the gift was going to. In the second video it was great to be able to hear some of the stories behind some of the pieces. You know Marcia I'm pretty sure that people stain their gourds and them seal them with a sand seal or a polyurethane. Hope this helps!
