This was so interesting Bridgett….David is such a good teacher and I’ve been drawn to early lighting for some time now and I really enjoyed seeing so many wonderful old pieces. The story of the rush Iight was amazing. There is so much history attached to these early pieces and the reason why so many of us enjoy having them and showing them off. Thank you for such a wonderful channel….always get excited when I see a new notification.

I really loved this video… the history lesson was a treasure. You know Bridgette, if I had the room and some of the pieces you have… I’d be moving thing too. As it is, I move a lot of the small things often. I’m searching for a tricorn hat. My son gave me a powder horn. And that hat box is a real treasure!

My friend just ordered a tricorn hat on the Internet and I believe it was from a costume place. Those tend to be less expensive than if you order one from someone who makes reenactment clothing. You might try that first. Hope this helps.

Wonderful video..i have a few questions, what are those candles hanging from your fireplace ? And why do people put table and chairs in the living room by fireplaces ? @bridgettsprimitvepassion

I think that people put tables and chairs in front of fireplaces because the fireplace was a source of heat. The candles that are hanging on my fireplace are made from black iron hooks and a small rod. The candles hang from the rod by their wicks.

Love your videos! I’m new to the prim style but absolutely love it. Can you tell me do you make the little rails that you hang your candles on in front of the fireplace mantle or do you buy them. I see them in alot of videos and want one

The ones that I have that are hanging on my fireplace are ones that I have made myself. I do know that you can buy these at some primitive stores but they are actually pretty easy to make. Just a couple of black iron hooks and a small rod to hang your candles from. That’s all there is to it! Hope this helps!
