Fascinating personal story. I worked at Harland & Wolff where the Titanic was built in their Belfast shipyard. I’d recommend sharing this story with maritime historians in the UK and US, including the Lloyds Register Foundation.

Often fame causes the variety and other true to life aspects of events and their people to be lost. Direct connections to such can and should be used as an opportunity to share faith. Survival or hardship can certainly provoke better use of other opportunities and more gratitude of what is not hardship.
