How many nails are needed for a lap size blanket?

She never replies to questions like this. I've asked her 3 times how many she uses for the blankets she makes. I have a loom that makes blankets for baby pushchairs. There is 18 dowels down and 13 across, hope this helps.

Measure the size your aiming to cover. Then use the length and width plus 2 inchs and make a frame with these measurements. Then place the nails a inch apart all round the board. Make sure that one set of parallel sides are odd number of nail and the other even. If you dont then the blanket doesn’t form. This should roughly make the size you need. The blankets shrink up to 2 inchs off the board hence the adding two. I usually use 50gx5 for base colour and then 50gx6 or 7 for the featured colour. I dont follow this tutorial as I personally find the diagonals pointless and a waste of yarn. But the same idea is there x

I was wondering the same things and I finally goundnit in someone else's tutorial. I have asked this lady so many times and she never answers. One side has to be even numbers and the other has to be odd. I screen shot her loom when she showed it on this tutorial and counted the nails.
