The function of the PM sensor is to indicate when the diesel particulate filter (DPF) needs to be replaced. The DPF handles a lot of the dirty work, trapping the particulates (better known as soot) inside its walls. Any sort of breach or malfunction in the filter leads to soot being released into the air.

The Particulate sensor regen is required after changing this sensor or no? Because i have the exact same code thats coming and going. If it is required, can i stop by your shop to have it done? (For a price of-course) Im in Auburn.

You need to remove the fault codes! Yes you can come by!
