Thank you Uncle ji for telling us the stories of pothwar region before partition I love also hearing the pothwari Punjabi dialect it’s like music to my ears ,I love you uncle ji I feel like you are my grandfather. as I’m also a Sikh I’m in the uk all my life and my roots are in Phagwara and Jalandhar but I know The Gujar khan and pothwar region and Jhelum was full of Sikhs and Hindus before 1947 who most then migrated to different parts of Punjab India and Delhi and Haryana,

@@rohansandhu8272 Hi Rohan. My family are Punjabi Muslims from that area. We still live there and still speak Pothwari. The Sikhs and Hindus were massacred and driven out in 1947 and my father tells me of the horrific stories he heard from his elders growing up. The Muslims suffered a similar fate in the districts of East Punjab. Humanity left Punjab during that time and evil reigned supreme. Allah sab na bala karey. Rabb Rakka.

Dear sir please visit Village Sukho in Tehsil Gujar Khan District Rawalpindi. Before 1947 around 80% of the population of Sukho was Sikh.Sukho was the business hub of Tehsil Gujar Khan before 1947.Sardar Chaudhary Shiv Ram Singh Bindra from Sukho was class 1 Magistrate and his haveli is still present in Sukho.His haveli is being used as office of Union Council Sukho.The haveli of Awtar Singh is still present in main bazar of Sukho.There are many other Sikh havelis in Mohallah Raajgaan of Sukho.The school and hospital in Sukho were built by Sikhs and both of them are in good condition and are operational.Just outside Sukho there was a huge and tall Gurdwara which was visible from far away.The coupole of this Gurdwara was made of yellow coloured bronze metal.Unfortunately this Gurdwara was destroyed in 1997 or 1998.
