I spent Thanksgiving in the Rochester NY area and drove home to the mid-Hudson valley yesterday -- couldn't take my usual route along the NYS Thruway because the region from Syracuse to Utica was supposed to get buried so I skirted the western edge of that cell along 390 and 86 thru Elmira and Binghamton. When I got halfway between those two, the skies cleared up a LOT and it was fairly sunny the rest of the way.

You realize that the fact that the lakes are warmer than normal actually makes lake effect snow worse? There is reason lake effect snow only occurs in November and December and not later in the season

@@CrabFiles maybe take a physics class or meteorology class? When water is warm it evaporates and it rises because it’s less dense. It rises it cools and condenses into clouds which moves over land where it’s so cold it condenses further into precipitation and it falls as rain or snow. That’s how the water cycle works. Unless you think the water cycle is pseudoscience.
