I've replaced our bad actuator, but the cam ring keeps coming/ slipping off the new arm actuator after few washes - any suggestions?

Did you replace the actuator with a new OEM Whirlpool part?
@kaosbboi2 ай бұрын
@PartsDr I bought it from amazon i dont think it was oem. I found your tutorial after the change and i think I'll go ahead and replace the splutch as well, because it seems that since the ring rises and falls maybe something is broken inside causing that, the actuator is same on a visual inspection and the washer does function until the arm slides off.

@@kaosbboi We would recommend replacing the actuator and splutch kit with OEM Whirlpool parts, like the ones we sell on our site partsdr.com Let us know how it works out for you.

I’ve had to replace this part 3 times in just one year. Any idea why this keeps happening? I never fill my washer more than 3/4 full, usually only halfway full. Whirlpool certified parts and a repair tech fixing it. I’m at a loss

Which component of the splutch is failing and in what way is it failing?
@michellenicole69534 күн бұрын
@@PartsDrseems to be the cam ring that’s getting completely disfigured and destroyed:(
@PartsDr4 күн бұрын
@@michellenicole6953 It's hard for us to say. Sometimes we have seen the shift actuator that is failing cause the splutch to strip. If you find the solution, please let us know what it is.

My actuator will not shift the cam ring, when attempting to shift its like it's locked up and the actuator continuously pops. Would this be reason to replace the splutch assy?
@PartsDr4 ай бұрын
If you disconnect the shift actuator, can you shift the splutch by hand?
@logangow16404 ай бұрын
@PartsDr yes, I've been rocking my washer back while its popping and assisting the actuator to shift the splutch, upon doing so the washer continues to function as it should
@PartsDr4 ай бұрын
@@logangow1640 if you can shift it by hand, then the splutch should be good. It sounds like your shift actuator is probably failing and causing the problem. Let us know what you find.

@PartsDr good to know, considering I still have a spare good shift actuator from my last bravos x, thanks for the info. I will let you know if replacing the actuator fixes the issue

@PartsDr so, I've replaced the actuator and I'm getting f7e5 code for shifter fault, is there a recalibration I need to run before it will read properly? Model number MVWX700XW
