@DoYouLikeThisName I found out mine was caused by some string that was from a piece of fabric that I had washed and had come unravelled. I discovered the problem when manually trying to rotate the big thing in the middle of the washer (the rotator? Agitator? 🤔). It wasn't moving very well and felt like it was stuck on something. I finally saw the barely visible string around the bottom of that part; cut it; and pulled it completely off. When trying to find my machine's problem, I also discovered there was a buildup of debris in between the sides of the wash tub and the casing at the top of the machine (hope that makes sense). I had no idea that could happen, so I cleaned all that gunk out. Now my machine is working properly again. The gunk was probably contributing to the problem, too. I'm just glad I found the problem myself instead of having to pay for someone to look at it. I hope this info helps you, too. 🙂

i suspect a worn bearing, after replacing suspension rods, it isn't off balance now but vibrates. your video helped a lot to narrow down the issues & give me some extra maintenance tips. now i know where to look and what i'm looking for👍

funny what happened with my machine, felt pen somehow ended up wedged between belt guard and floor, ground pen up and pushed guard in to pulley making a terrible grinding sound. repair kit including new belt only 26bucks Canadian, much cheaper than parts select, from Amazon. Video from this company always very helpful and well done.

Wow! It must have taken a lot of work to create the problems shown to get the sounds. Thanks! My noise was not in there. It makes a loud repeating clicking sound as it tries to get started agitating. Click-click-click pause click-click-click-click pause click run. It is old, but I keep fixing it.

It's from overloading the washer, imbalanced loads, high humidity conditions, or just defective bearing. Usually overloading washer.

my Kenmore 90 series washing machine is ticking during spinning. Clothes are too wet at end of cycle. I just replaced the drain pump and coupler a couple of weeks ago. I have tried to remove this shaft 4:53 and it won't come out, direct drive. Is there a trick or is this part of my noise problem like a bad bearing. Depending on your make and model of washer that sort of noise is common to worn agitator dogs assuming your washer may have a dual stage agitator. If this not the case we would require a bit more information on your machine to assist you better. Good luck and thanks for reaching out!

@@andrewkinzie9564 If you have done any repairs yourself you should be able to do this if it is the issue with your washer. I have done many repairs, including replace the motor. The reason I called an appliance repair shop to do it is because we were expecting visitors to spend the week with us arriving the next day and I knew it could take me several hours to get it fixed once I figured out what the problem was. It took the appliance guy about an hour to do the repair - he had the part in his truck. Not sure how much of my bill was part vs labor, probably about half and half.
