+AllForFire - Unless of course Garrus was leading a different team. His father did get a task-force assigned to him after ME2 to prep for the Reapers... but than again, Garrus probably wouldn't have been considered a merc by that point.

@@mitchellbaran7917 The Initiative also left no more than a month or two after Shepard turned himself/herself in to the Alliance, so it would have had to have been a pretty tight timeframe for that to happen.

From what I've seen Jaal and Liam definitely seem like bros (their interaction on the Tempest and Movie Night), and Jaal seems to be the only one who doesn't get royally pissed off at Liam in the Nomad (everyone else Liam gets on their bad side, sometime almost intentionally).

Liam is almost as open as the Angara, and he's agressive to boot. Jaal would be used to people with his personality and candor and would have a far easier time understanding where he's coming from, when he means offense or when he just needs to blow off steam with his words. He doesn't take offense and ribs right back at him. That's why they make such great bros :D

According to Peebee herself, she's "one hundred and change" which sounds like while she is similar to Liara's age during the Mass Effect Trilogy but completely lacks the maturity making her one hell of a teenager.

you have to remember Liara comes from upper crust society with her mother being a well respected (before ME:1) Matriarch and we know very little about Peebee's other than her father is an Elcor

@blackvial We know she had an older half-sister who by the time she was born was also a Matriarch. She and their mom tag teamed raising her and seems the root of her rebellion and needing to be different. I don't think it is lack of training so much as her hating the volume of training and deciding not to be.

I'm replaying the game right now, and I totally get the Liam hate. He's a complete screw-up, he's rude, he's argumental, he doesn't understand the chain of command, he has the sort of personality thst makes him think learning the swear words is the most important part of learning a language - basically, he's mentally stuck as a 13 year old. I'm pretty sure the reason there is always spit in his food on Aya is because he's kind of a dick. I've just done the pirates on the Kett ship mission. Fun time, but Liam had given Nexus security codes to some random Angara 25 minutes after they met, and just after the same Angara told him to have Ryder steal proprietary food technology from the Aya market. Rather than trade tech for tech. Which just screams trustworthy individual. I honestly wish there was a way to kick him off my crew.

The way he acts after his loyalty mission really pisses me off, and it pisses me off more that he gets the last word, showing that he learned nothing from his royal fuck-up. Seriously, I've known guys who've been court martialed for far less. Giving away sensitive information without authorization, which nearly fell into the hands of an enemy? If the Initiative were a military operation, he'd be confined (or exiled in their case) or executed (if they charged him for treason). His nature, and his need to have everything go right immediately, makes him a danger to his squad and the Initiative. Lexi called it right, he needs thing to go right so badly, that he falls apart when things go wrong. I can see why he couldn't cut it as a cop.

birds eat hot peppers and excrete the seeds intact. its how a number of hot pepper plant species propagate. mail carriers in certain parts of the us frequently get attacked by wild turkeys and the mail carriers found that pepper spray had no effect on the turkeys. in fact birds don't really have a sense of smell.

You know the weird thing is that Liam talks about the scarred up Turian merc a lot, but the only time Garrus is really scarred up is after you recruit him in ME2, so they would of have had to meet in the few months between Arrival and the Initiative departing OR the devs wanted us to just know and send "fuck the timeline". It seems to pass the Refrigerator test though

Well they did depart between ME2 and ME3 so there'd be plenty of time for them to meet.

However, Garrus only gets his scars after his whole team after killed, when you turn up on Omega and he takes that rocket to the face. Then he spends all his time calibrating the Normandy SR-2's main gun. And after ME2, he goes straight back to Palaven to work on his father to get some kind of Reaper taskforce organised. So...this meeting with a scarred up Turian could not possibly have been Garrus, even though it was clearly meant to be Garrus. My guess - Liam is making shit up about how he tangled with Archangel to make himself seem cool.
