Same here, 100% Although keep in mind, Drack is more than 1400 years old. And according to dialogue from Peebee (not certain if it's backed up more concretely elsewhere, but she has no reason to lie, or not know what she's talking about), he's only got about another 120-150 to go. He's LIVED his life. He's not Wrex, a just-as-old-but-still-in-his-prime Uberkrogan with the Destiny to raise his people into a new bright future. He's not Grunt, a practially "newborn" Uberkrogan with his whole life of Badassery and Awesomeness still ahead and waiting for him. He's an ancient Uberkrogan who's been through everything, had his adventures, taken MORE than his share of scars that have worn him down itty-bitty bit by bit, and now continues to pass on what he can to the next generation, freely and earnestly. To put it another way, he's Shepard after the Reaper War is over. Because once you've done all THAT, what more really are you looking to accomplish? What can you? Sure he still has a metric tonload of things and people worth living for, _especially_ if you do right by the Krogan at every turn, but can't the same be said of pretty much everyone in existence? I'm not saying I WANT Drack to die, _fuck_ no, and I certainly hope he's there at the end when we finally raise that final victory bar fight, but consider it this way: if he doesn't die during the story, then that means we'd instead have to watch (or imagine) him slowly crumbling away, as mistakes and injuries just keep pilling up, as his cybernetics slowly fail one by one and none of the replacements take, just a slow, drawn out expiration of this ancient, truly venerable warrior. ...Damnit, now I've just made myself sad... So ultimately, as much as it will hurt one way or the other, if Drack is facing his end one way or another, I'd rather he go out the way he wants to, should, and DESERVES to: in the biggest blaze of Krogan glory and the loudest Bang this side of the Galaxy.
