I’ve worked for Party City, Big Lots, Kohl’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Tuesday Morning, Border’s, GameStop, and many other retailers that are now bankrupt or about to be bankrupt. I’m not at all surprised by the outcomes, considering their business models.

The greater depression started about April 2022. The Democrats have been lying to us about the economy.

Dear Cherilyn, I remember in the late 90s my parents strapped a huge box patio set from Big Lots into the trunk of our 96 Corolla. That table and chairs is still outside today. It's been repainted at least twice. RIP Big Lots.

As a former Party City employee, I can tell you that even before the announced bankruptcy, paydays had become arbitrary for us hourly employees. Almost everyone has direct deposit. Every two weeks, your money should be on the Party City debit card. Sometimes it would be, sometimes it wouldn't. That was two years ago. I'm surprised that they lasted this long.

@MichaelTravis-v5y lotsa folks catching on, they do have very good store brand stuff as well as some name brand. Meijer is close by my local so I can usually go for the better savings on similar stuff. Aldi usually (but not always) wins.
