Oh man do we really want them to crush our dreams with a Medieval III that is done on the new engine like Three Kingdoms, Troy and Warhammer where there's no matched combat and ranged warfare is weird no matter what they do. Healthbars on units and formations that just subtract and add percentage bonuses like three kingdoms and Rome 2s. All I want is ME3, but sometimes i fear they'll give it to us 🤣 They need to spend triple the time and effort on the development of it to not disgrace it.

It's going to have to happen eventually - can't have a historical series and never do Medieval Europe ever again. It's gonna be challenging too - it could be the best TW game ever, and they'd still compete with that powerful love of Med2 =D. But yes - sign me up right away please. Medieval 3 when?

Major thumbs up for the titles in the list attempting new things or adding significant spins to existing formulas. The complacency of strategy titles in the past decade is annoying, especially considering that technology has evolved allowing them to build more in the same amount of time. And finally we have titles at least attempting to push the boundaries or daring to experiment. Maybe not 2021, but 2022 looks great for players that like strategy games.

Not gonna lie, Starship Troopers looks like a mobile phone tower defense game, where you have specific places to place troops and thats it. It doesnt look like an RTS

King's bounty 2 with multiplayer could be smth aaaaamazing. Also space federation aka star reach, remake, remaster or some game inspired of that sweet retro piece, would be so great... But years goes by and nobody takes that amazing thing simple arcade/rts game and brings it back from the dead. Also starship troopers, another one who would benefit from multiplayer

City of Gangsters pretty much looks close to the 1998 game Gangsters. That's promising, it was a very entertaining game for its time! The Concept is that you plan the next day in the night and then your mob moves out in real time and you have limited possibilitis to interact.

I hope stellar warfare does well :D homeworld remastered was amazing. Do you think RTS genre is gonna get a massive revival? Ive always felt RTS games where not as popular as such FPS. Though there was a period in time, when games like AOE, AOM, Warcraft, and such dominated.
