You missed one. Old World by Mohawk game. It is made by the original designer of Civ4, and adds a ton of new and great mechanics to the Civ genre. You have actual people and their quirks as rulers, ministers, governors, and so do the other nations. The rulers of two empires may be best friends, but a generation later their children may hate each other, and this makes the gameplay a lot more dynamic. I've been playing the early access lately, and it is amazingly good already.

Builders of Egypt / Greece / China give me a big Caesar 3 / Zeus Lord of Olympus vibe back from when Impression Games and Sierra released that kind of stuff ; hope it's not a scam and that the games turn out being good but having 3 of them come out in rapid succession rather than just one polished game is enough to keep me on alert .

Viking city builder's trailer was a clone of manor lords, the shots in the trailer were nearly shot for shot with manor lords except Vikingy, it was pretty well documented on the manor lords discord. If they copy the trailer there's a good chance they'll copy the game so I'd be sceptical of it in future

HOL UP Viking is build by one person this is insane. I love the modern age where due to amazing software solo talented individuals with limited funding and resources can create games or animation that rival or even triumph multi million dollar funded entire studios of staff. Many of these games dont actually have release dates and most likely in development hell. For instance, Knights of Honor 2 hasn't had a news update in almost 2 years and the city builder games are just proof-of-concept rather than full games set for release.

While the game has been around for several years, Forge of Empires is THE game I play daily. Online and free, its awesome. Start in the Stone Age and advance your city all the way up to Space Age Venus. You won't know strategy until you play this game...

Have you heard about an RTS game made by Glyph Worlds called war selection it starts you in the stone age and moves all the way till the WW2 era, you fight with a massive range of units and it's great! As a small content creator for it it would be amazing if you could cover it :)

Great question! They’re both absolutely amazing. Which time period is your favourite? FOTS has absolutely perfect battles and I love the gunpowder, but Attila is more grand and hard core, but has performance issues. For me I would choose Attila, but FOTS is so awesome too, you can’t go wrong.

Viking city builder is a copy of manor lords! DO NOT BUY! WAIT FOR MANOR LORDS! While manor lords is a great looking game made by a SOLO developer, Viking city builder is made by a large developer company that has snaked the idea, basically copied all the mechanics (as I can see from the trailers), and tried to get in early and release a blatant copy before Slavic Magic (the manor lords developer) can get his game out.

These 'builder' games just look and feel (by the demo) cheap. Crisp graphics for sure but just checkboard style, instant building (with what seems people ignoring streets anyway). No new or interesting mechanics to speak of. Children of the Nile is still more appealing, despite its quirks, just for the more organic growth of your city, individual needs and just an overall more interesting economy. That these 'builder' games are pumped out at the same time by the same studio speaks volumes. Might be wrong, but I highly doubt it.
