Hey Party, A suggestion for the thirst issue, is that maybe the animals that are very thirsty you can put them on the trade center. That may help them not die of thirst, but i am not sure. I hope they fix the bug that makes the animals thirsty, hope not many other animals die from it. Btw you have another male rhino on the trade center, might aswell put him in the rhino habitat, now that there is only one.

I laughed so hard at the red panda painting. It actually gave me an idea: In China (and some other Asian countries) the old families usually have a small room where they have their ancestors' pictures and names (and sometimes the cremated). On New Year and other important events we'll come offer them food, burn some incense sticks and pray to our ancestors. Now what if you build a small place like that for the red pandas right in that little corner so they can pray for blessing upon the upcoming "Panda War II"? Nothing complicated. Just thought that it would bring the war joke onto the next level lol. I'm so glad you liked the Great Wall idea. If you want to add stairs up to the towers just make them steep so ppl can't use them (they're quite steep in reality anyway). And maybe add some torches on the tower walls too. Anyway the China area is looking awesome. Also, - Maybe build some coverage for the guest waiting at the gondola station and have a washroom there? It's quite a walk to where you have it. But please, no toilets facing the door. It's a very against fengshui. - The problem with the stone stairs at the red pandas could be because of the width of the steps, not only their height. The animals could barely fit their paws on those steps. - The frame rate dropped a lot after you changed the guest setting. My heart broke when the rhino passed away. They should fix it asap and give players conservation credits for the loss of animal (though no amount of money could erase the pain *sobbing*).

I remember back when the game first came out there was a similar bug, I lost my first zoo due to dehydration deaths. Sorry it's happening again, especially with how much love and care goes into these animals. Hope it gets fixed asap, but if its not maybe we do a building exclusive episide? Idk, I'd hate to lose more of these animals to this bug and maybe it's an excuse to tie up any loose ends. We could work on planning south america and Africa, go as far as to put signs down. Or even begin mapping out the pangolin habitat (btw they are painfully shy, beyond shy) Sorry if this isnt helpful, and I dont mean to come across as rude. I just remember how panicked I felt when something similar happened to my game. It's like all you can do is damage control and it makes introducing new animals difficult. You're doing great and aside from the drinking amnesia this has been another amazing episode. Sorry for the long comment, I got carried away

This was a tough episode to watch, I’m amazed you were able to finish it! It has to be a bug, I had a quick look and there was something mentioned that animals were getting thirsty faster and were unable to find water. However I don’t have the game so I’m going by what others say. I completely understand if the next episode is shorter/completely paused or if you maybe do something in sandbox just so we don’t loose our beloved animals. Such a upsetting and annoying moment, well done for carrying on. I hope that it’s fixed soon.

Had a whole comment written up with some fun facts about the wolf, but then my laptop crashed and I don't feel like re-writing it right now. =/ They dehydration is a bug (Apparently, animals aren't drinking from the fountains at all while natural water seems to be a hit or miss). They're working on a quick fix, but as other folks said, move some of them to the trade center to refill their needs.

I'm so happy that this whole section is being revisited and that the giant pandas habitat has some more stuff in it. If I had to pick a team between the two pandas, which is really hard for me because I love them both, it is going to have to be the red pandas haha. Hopefully the hydration bug thingy is fixed by the next time you play! Don't beat yourself up too much about being a little late! Sadly technical issues cannot be avoided sometimes. Also, you have been putting a lot of videos out lately so it is ok if you need to take a day or if you need to put out a shorter video.

Hey PE, about the thirst issue. in the Developers page they said this: Known Issues Animals are getting thirsty twice as fast as normal. Placing a permanent water source (lake or water pipe) will help to alleviate this while we work on a fix. Animals aren't going to water sources to drink. We believe this is possibly caused by the navigation issue below and are continuing to investigate. Navigation mesh for large zoos and habitats is taking a long time to generate. If your animals and staff inside habitats aren't moving and standing on the spot then the navigation mesh will still be generating; pausing the game and leaving the navigation to generate will fix this, save as soon as it's complete to avoid needing to do this again. This issue affects every zoo. So the fixes with the water pipes is ok.

A solution for making your walls connect perfectly. = When you're using the wall pieces to make a building, the game creates a grid. On this grid you can place inner and outer walls. Only the inner walls will connect perfectly and create a perfect square. It is confusing, I know. :D Most Of the time you have to turn and move walls around to find te right spot. Try making a corner and keep an eye for how the corner looks. The game is will visually change the appearance of the two walls to make a nicer looking corner. + You can also double click on shops to open a "building group". Your walls will auto stick to your shop so you never have to turn them yourself. :)

I definitely also noticed some animal suddenly not using natural water in my zoo. If they get to zero for too long or refuse to walk towards any water I just pop them in the trade center for a minute and their needs go back up. Also learned it works for starvation when my keepers weren't feeding right. Really not ideal and should be reported as an issue but it prevents animals dying.

For the red pandas if you look at the angle of the stairs at that section, they are at a stepper slope then the rest of the stairs. You should delete those steps and copy the other steps down so that they are traversable

A tip is that if an animal is starving or dehydrated, putting them into the trading center will reset their state to normal. Because of the length of time between female pandas having offspring is so long, it'd be a good idea to get another one or two more females. Also, you need to take Lein off contraceptives. Here's a funny story about pandas. At the Hong Kong zoo, they have a pair of pandas that they have been trying to breed for the last 10 years. Now, with the lock-down meaning no-one but the keepers can go to the zoo, the pair spontaneously started displaying courtship and mating behaviour. So it seems captive pandas aren't as disinterested in breeding as we thought, they are just really private animals. And here's an interesting fact. A female panda's pregnancy can last from anywhere between 5-12 months and the only way to know if a female is pregnant is when she gives birth because females that don't fall pregnant go through a phantom pregnancy so they show exactly the same hormone levels as a pregnant female. An interesting fact about red pandas is that they are one of the few mammals that are able to climb down trees facing down. Almost every mammals can only climb down going backwards. their ankles are hyper flexible and are able to rotate nearly 180 degrees so that their feet face backwards.

When an animal becomes dehydrated or starts to starve put them into quarantine immediately. Waiting for them to solve the solution themselves is incredibly risky. I'm so sorry for your first animal loss due to something other than old age. I've only ever lost one animal, in all of the thousands of animals I've had, to something other than old age. It was a baby orangutan and he died of dehydration. Like you, I just kind of stopped and took a moment. I was devastated. I know it's just a game and they're not real, but God, it was heartbreaking to me. I dont ever take the risks anymore. If I see an animal that's dehydrated or starving I just request quarantine immediately and a caretaker will come pick them up and take them to be fed right away. I know you seemed to be panicking in this because your natural water sources are failing so for future reference, and your sanity, if it happens again know that you can request quarantine and the animal has a 100% chance of surviving. It isnt always necessary, as you saw with multiple animals solving the issue themselves, but it helps keep me calm and its reassuring to me to know they'll be taken care of with absolute certainty.

The most recent update messed with the animals ability to drink from bodies of water as a source to cure thirst. It made it so water bowls/pipes are the only means of drinking. I’d assume this was accidental

Give the tortoise a little tunnel under the path so they don't get stuck in the middle of the people and they may not show stress. After working crazy hours during what is happening now this show is a great release. Thank you. Also the wall between the panda's that would be good if people from the main building could walk over it and connect the loop round to the front of the red panda and put a consealed entrance from the train station so people can get on and off.

I think adding more greenery around the train loop in East Asia would be nice since it is more of a garden; maybe trees are not the right choice as it will block the view from the train. Maybe try a few different bush options or shorter trees to spruce it up a bit. Crazy to think we are already at episode 70. Keep it up Party the zoo is looking amazing!

You may want to spread some water pipes around the ivory palace. It’ll allow the elephants to traverse more of the area as well as solve the water issue. Spreading enrichment out as well might help incentivize them to move about more too. Separate thing, the amount of poop may require for there to be multiple keepers just for the elephants if you want to keep the area clean lol.

Hello! I've been watching your planetzoo series since the start and I really enjoy it and all your puns! Never stop please. I like the personality you have in your videos. You seem like the kind of person I would like to play games with. I also own the game and have experienced a lot of the same struggles as you have in my own zoo, but it wasn't till I saw you having the same struggle with dehydration that I had just last night, that I got brave enough to post a comment. This was the first day I played after the south america update hit my game also. I think that is not a coincidence. Eventually it went away, but a LOT of dehydration all at once was scary! Additionally, I can confirm adjacent habitats can share a section of the same barrier, but I think the reason yours was giving you trouble may be because you tried to merge two walls together, when deleting one of them and possibly waiting for the game to figure it out would have been better. Also a gap in the fence might cause the two gate in a habitat state. I wanted to send a dm to say all that but I didn't want to seem creepy. If you want, I can show you what I mean about the barrier sharing, it's a little weird to explain. Thanks for letting us come on your planet zoo adventures with you :) P.S. is it possible to put a sign for the red pandas that has one wearing a helmet and goggles like they're engineering their own crazy machinery of war! Haha

Just a hopefully helpful tip - if you’re ever worried about a severely dehydrated or starving animal you can send them to the quarantine! They will be fed and watered by vets in an emergency

Later than normal today as I braved the supermarket this morning. I spent a while queueing as the shop is operating as one in one out. Was so strange being in somewhere other than work. Glad to see the area getting a face-lift of sorts too. I find the tale/headcannon behind it cute.

Why not go absolutely ham with cherry blossoms in the East Asia part? Make up for what you lost in Flamingle park! Also maybe add more decoration in the East Asia food court/temple? Maybe some vases/art in the gaps between the shops? Even some tables would be nice!!! Excited for the pangolins :)

It was definiately a bug with the update, how every animal who only had natural water source went thirst. I feel sorry about that Rhino, poor guy. Don't make the temperature too hot for the Red pandas. If you saw any video about them, you'll see they love playing in the snow. :) That goes for the other animals you have, who are fine with the temperature of your region. Bears, wolves, etc. Let them have seasons :) As for the conflict between the Giants and the Reds, just name it Panda-monium. Nice work on the wall-railroad btw. Edit: with $1,5M I doubt you'd have any problem with a possible Jaguar or Llama mafia.
