After a lot of testing and trying, I've finally figured it out. Its not actually just drop D, it's DADGAD tuning (gotta tune down the higher e and b strings to d and a respectively, in addition to a drop d, i.e, tuning down the lower e to d as well) And then the progression of notes 7,6,5,4 on the g string, with respect to capo on the 3rd fret.
