Her story fascinates me and brings tears to my eyes. The girl was abused mentally by Amitabh Bachchan who had promised his love to her. Amitabh is a loser who carried this on even after his marriage. Her schizophrenia got progressively worse in the mid 1980s. This interview is from the late 1970s. Mahesh Bhatt was her boy friend when she once had a serious bout of the illness. He made a movie called "Arth" about his extra-marital affair with Parveen, her insecurities and delusions. BTW: Schizophrenics are actually very creative and intelligent people. Its a mysterious illness where your mind goes into overdrive and you start seeing/imagining things/people that don't exist or incidents that didn't actually happen. Kabir Bedi's son who was brilliant in academics committed suicide in LA (in college) when he learnt he was suffering from this dreadful disease. This disease manifests mostly in youth and then gets progressively worse. There is no treatment apart from drugs that literally stun the patient into complete submissiveness.

Very big fan of amitji here. In my opinion, he was never cold, at least to the people in his circle. What he is is....he is not genuine or sincere....all those smiles and humble things are just that. But very very rarely sincere. He is just like that, kya kare! I stopped being a fan cos i got fed up of many things....other than rare good movie here n there, mostly crappy movies one after other again n again (since 90s), after he started unnecessarily supporting his financial side too much , his son too much, his overly fondness for the wrong people, him ignoring people at their worst moments etc etc. Very charming and very humble yes. But not sincere. Nevertheless, what a superstar! Just wow.

That's a no brainer. Women love tall, handsome men who can hold a conversation, who are successful, and have enough money to provide a good lifestyle. Amit had all of that. Women don't care much about who will stay with them for the long haul....So women will run after the Amits and Ranbirs of the world...not knowing that they will only play with 95% of the women.
