I admit, i was excited about this truck when it was being leaked by Traxxas. I was thinking of buying one or wondering if I'd have to upgrade my 4 and 6s Mojaves to keep up. After a bunch of videos and driving 2 of them I've decided i don't want one and no need for any Mojave mods. I ran them both with this Sunday and it a clear which was the better rigs.

Would (Will) be interesting to see if a heavier shock oil will get rid of that slap/bounce. Sure seems like the damping and rebound isn't enough out of the box. My LHS needs to get their act together, they seem to think they still can't sell the Maxx Slash yet.

23:36 I noticed the same problem with the spring collar not being properly adjusted out of box with the demo unit at my LHS, I'm rather surprised folks aren't doing basic setup checks before it hits the dirt. Three of the 4 spring collars were almost fully backed off out of the box. It's not really fair to the product for people to go out and bash/review it and then complain about body slap and other suspension issues when they haven't done a basic once-over to make sure the baseline setup is good. Not saying this is your fault, it's not your truck and the folks there at Hobby Quarters should've checked this like any other RTR to make sure nothing glaring happened during assembly or shipping.

The Maxx Slash is a brick with wheels and a motor! So far, every video I’ve seen, not one person can keep it on its wheels! It can’t jump without nose diving and can’t turn without rolling over! Buy a 4s Mojave and save yourself a couple hundred bucks!

I don't know i certainly am not going to tell someone how to spend their money, but to me the shocks aren't right, and over all chassis weight is to light for a enjoyable out of the box rip, motor gets pretty warm as well so heat sink and fan probably a good idea, all this on a higher priced rig. Just can't see it. I like the Slash, i got one, put a new motor esc and shock and wheel and tire change over 3 years, now it runs 3 s and turns on Power without rolling, im happy with it but was happy with it out of the box enough to enjoy it, this one real tough out of the box, but to light or over powered for the weight, in my humble opinion. But hey if you got the right spares laying around, and like tinkering before the first run on a expensive rig. Could have possibilities. Great video though keep on, keepin on.😊

It is presently £210 (300 dollars near as dammit) more expensive in the UK than the US for the same truck. Just to add to this, the latest version Widemaxx in the UK is £580, almost two hundred quid less than the Maxx Slash. It's the same bleeding truck with shorter arms, smaller wheels and a big bodyshell. 😂

Every review I’ve watched has two things going on with this RC… the whole inside FILLS up with debris and dirt like REAL bad. Also… the thing handles like absolute crap. It’s great if you just want to go fast in a straight line… anything else and it’s on its back!! Traxxas just made it fast and durable… it sucks in every other aspect
