Some fine sailing in shallow water. I know a few of us have mentioned the Sailing Brothers cookbook, but I really am not quite sure what to say after you excelled this week! It makes a lot of sense to eat from the saucepan.

Yes the corned beef mash was pretty dry and quite awful to be honest. The meat was some sort of spam which wasn't very nice. Most of the time when you're sailing you can't be bothered cooking an extravagant meal 😂😂

The Helly Hansen clothing are indeed very nice, Adam. It was a Norwegian seaman named Helly J. Hansen who started making them back in the late 1800’s. He opened his own factory. I don’t know if they still are made in Norway. I do think it is still a Norwegian owned company though. Well, I’ve been watching 9 episodes in a row! That was a great sunday evening! Good night.😊

Another cracking video from the Bruvs, so glad to see that the cheese has made a comeback, is the cheese as good as Welsh cheese though. I think sometimes sailing over shallow sea is worse when you can see how shallow it is.

Just wash the mould off the cheese with salt water. However it's not a good idea to eat mouldy bread. There are lots of easy recepies for making bread on board in KZbin. You can even make pita bread on the frying pan, no oven!

Cheese will last for the very long time just scrape off the mold. We have been making bread on board and it's getting better. We have recently been making stews 😋

As certified cheese lovers on a budget, you might try wrapping your cheese in wax paper, or food wrapping paper, rather than plastic cellophane which makes it go moldy... unless you want all your cheese to turn into mature Stilton! 😎

Nah , mould needs air to grow, inside the cheese there is no air so mould won't grow. Same with bread but to a lesser extent as bread has a lot of air holes. My grandparents lived to mid 80s and always just cut the mould off....they also gave me a top tip that's come in handy these past two year's......keep away from Dr's and their pills as they kill you......nowadays that includes stuff ( can't say the word) the government wants you to stick in your arms !!

I’m sorry Captain Underpants, but by the time you can see visible signs of mould on bread, cheese etc, there is already a network of mycelia running all the way through the food that you cannot see. Depending on the type of mould, you could be playing a very dangerous game there.

We have successfully kept cheese in oil. No mould!

@@TheSailingBrothers It really works. We sailed down from UK to the Med in our first boat which didnt have a fridge. Put a block of cheddar in a tupperware and cover it in olive oil. Keep it in the bilge and cut off bits as needed. Top up the oil each time to ensure the cheese remains covered.

Some of that water is scary shallow particularly with the waves. Whats the tide range? Only problem with stunning Bahamas or any of the Caribbean is the price of stuff. Only fuel seems cheap?

A lot of the Bahamas is super shallow you have to be careful where you sail. The title range is from 0.5 - 0.9 The only issue we found is the price of food is astronomical 😮
