Passage to Martinique

Isn't that a fair distance to be towing the dinghy? Seems like you would want to strap it to the deck or something, rather than risk having it overturn.

Usually is on deck, especially if going more than 20 miles. I lose .5 kt in speed if towing. Thanks.
