This video was posted 8 years ago on November 13th and I’m watching it today November 13th 2022. It’s crazy to think about how many people are on this planet and all of us have our own story to tell. Thank you Delos crew for sharing your story with the world. I love the videos and hope to be on the water cruising my self someday. Cheers 🍻 and I’m going back to binge watching this amazing channel.

Another great update. Always look forward to the next video and hope one day to do the same. The food situation made me smile lol. Was on deployment for 6 months with limited supplies and little variety in a country that hadn't seen the best of times. On patrol one day and came across a bakery that had just reopened, one of the first shops to do so. Bought about 5 loaves, filled my day sack to take back to the guys and girls back at base. The joy on everyone's faces as I broke off chunks of freshly baked bread and handed it out. It's amazing how the simple things are what you miss the most. That was my equivalent of oven baked pizza or hamburger.

Thanks for this latest entry/update on your progress. It was neat to see the sails unfurl, the tacking, and so interesting that putting up your "favorite sail," made such a difference to your speed. Also the foul weather footage - felt anxious for you guys, though I understand that it was not too severe. Glad to see/hear that you are all doing so well. I saw this in the other comments, and agree the dolphins footage was remarkable. Best wishes to Delos' "sailing family." I will put some money in the Patreon thing - have been meaning to do it.
@svdelos10 жыл бұрын
lancedaniels Hey, thanks so much for the comment! Yea, the dolphin footage was pretty sweet. Great sailing in this episode. I fly a "Mule" sail on my ketch in light air. It hanks onto the backstay of the main and the sheet runs to the top of the mizzen. The mule puts alot of area high up, gets the boat heeled over and stabilizes the ship. Makes you look like a pirate ship and the bubbles go astern faster. Looking forward to your next episode, never stop exploring!

I've watched 23 episodes while working almost 12 hours in the Police Dispatch this shift, well it will be 12 hours come 0700 and it's 0316 right now. Pretty slow the day after Halloween in Tulsa, Oklahoma, mostly DUI's and a couple of unruly bar dwellers. If you can't handle your liquor, probably shouldn't be drinking. Just my onion. This vids are awesome, I've been enjoying them while working. It's a nice break to watch something so positive without the daily drama. Watching these adventures are becoming a norm inside the dispatch...lol

Have you heard of the technique of keeping your small dolphin hooked up and swimming behind the boat to attract other dolphin? Not sure how well it would work behind the sailboat, guess it might depend on how fast the boat was moving but it is a proven technique for catching school dolphin. Might be worth a try when you are getting low on food. Thanks for another great video, great detail.
