Very real and true state of Darwin and NT.Also the way you were using humour to ease the communication with Jordan or other indigenous people without sounding condescending was the best part. No one will cover this facet of Australia because every one wants to show the beaches , cities and wildlife. I have never dared to go to Darwin/ NT even after living in this country for 7 years. In every study units I am studying, they are putting a strong emphasis about teaching of Indigenous education and inclusivity of the Indigenous Australian. However, they didn't quite really mention or clearly provide about the current state of indigenous people. But hats off to you. Hi Paramveer: This is an absolute eye opener. Never imagined that such places exist in Australia. Levi was spot on in commenting that people outside of Australia think that lethal weapons, including guns, are hard to come by in that country. Unless a community improves itself from within, no amount of intervention by the Government can help. I didn't get the feeling that there are community leaders among the aboriginals that can set an example and pull up the errant ones in their flock.

It's one side. There is other side too. Lots of immigrants here who live and raise their families. Gurudwara also there. Good Indian community there. I lived here for years. Never felt unsafe. Quite place.

Good work bro. I have lived in Darwin for 6 years. Crime has increased in the past two years. It is a beautiful city with a lot of natural beauty for sure. Try and visit Litchfield and Kakadu national park next time if you happen to visit. May to July is the best time of the year to visit these places.
