An unruly passenger subdued after running amok is the latest in an epidemic of terrifying incidents in the sky. Stephon Duncan, an off-duty flight attendant, was restrained by other passengers after he allegedly tried to open a door in mid-air. The captain was heard on video asking over the intercom for “all strong males” to come to the front of the aircraft to “handle a problem passenger.” Inside Edition spoke to businessman Rashaun Williams, one of the passengers who helped subdue him. #InsideEdition

@John Sergertson unfortunately, I definitely don't know it all. But I'm an aircraft mechanic, so I definitely know this part lol. The reason is because the doors on commercial jets open inwards before pivoting and going outwards along the fuselage for unobstructed loading and unloading. So when the plane is flying, the air used to pressurize the cabin (so you can breathe at 30,000 feet) is pushing outwards on the door to the tune of roughly 6-8PSI. On a ~3000+ square inch door, that's an insurmountable force for just about any living creature to overcome, let alone a human lol
