Hi Duncan. Just followed your tutorial as I got a large monk fish fir a dish. My gosh…I watched the video. Managed to prepare my fish. Was a bit of a smelly experience..😂😂..but without this video I would not have done such a good job. Regards.

I know the monkfish has a large head but for such a large fish there doesn't seem a lot of flesh. I must agree with other comments they are very tasty. Great video.

This is an excellent video and I only wish I could do it half as neatly. First time round it's not nearly as easy as it looks removing the light coloured skin membrane. The cheeks were easy but don't get near those fearsome teeth!

I thought it would be as big as a man and you have to hang it to cut it apart

+Thuy Pham Yeah. Unless it's a different species of Monkfish where it lives in Japanese waters, that might explained it.

NephiTheSpaceWarrior I became interested in monkfish right now because I just finished watching the episode and found a german video in which the filleted monkfish gotta be around 1,30m or so, so there seem to be some varies of monkfish that are bigger than others... :)
