Thanks sooo much for this quick recipe. I used my fresh passionfruit and lemons and they were a great tangy contrast to your sweet coconut crunchy base. One of those easy go to recipes! And is now one of my top ten. 👌👍

+Maureen Amos outstanding, we are so glad to give you some interesting ways to use your fresh fruits. We have an entire passionfruit playlist for some more inspirational ideas. Not being big sweet eaters we also enjoy mixing the tangy fruits with coconut anything, our latest craze is our lime icecream, it's cheek sucking good LOL, thanks for the delightful feedback and for watching.;-))

@@CheekysKitchen I made it, and it turned out perfectly. Just delightful bursts of flavour and textures. I left out the coconut, and increased the flour, as I’m not very fond of coconut. The base was lovely and crunchy anyway.

@@CheekysKitchen You’re most welcome. The whole family loved it, as did I. The tartness is just perfect, and the adaptation of replacing flour, with the coconut, was just a little more flour, per weight than the coconut. Delicious 🤗🌹💕

Is it suppose to be sticky
@CheekysKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Yes Hussein, it has a crisp biscuit base with a creamy smooth tangy topping. You can cut it and it will hold its shape well, especially after chilling but the texture of the topping is similar to soft cheesecake. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.;-))

Should it be desicated coconut
@CheekysKitchen4 жыл бұрын
You can use shredded, flaked or desiccated coconut, the flavour will be similar, only the texture will be altered.;-))

How many passionfruits
@CheekysKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question Rose. I have listed the ingredients below in the description box. It’s difficult to tell how many Passionfruit are required because different Passionfruit varieties have different quantities of pulp. Some small purple types have very little juice and pulp but the larger pale coloured tropical species are full of fruit. You only need about 2 of the larger ones and 6-8 of the little light ones . That is why I have listed the ingredients by weight. Imagine the problem my viewers would have encountered if I said say 4 Passionfruit and they were the big fat heavy ones, the finished product would be so sloppy and super tangy. I hope that helps and thanks for watching. I know you are going to love this recipe. If you are looking for ways to use an oversupply of Passionfruit, don’t forget we have an entire playlist dedicated to this flavoursome little fruit. Everything from jam to sorbet. Something there for everyone.;-))
