Hi Brandon, I've got a question. I'm looking at the Questrade doc on how to set up a DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan). I also set up my Passiv account following your tips, based on my custom model. It's a really good tutorial. The question: did you setup the DRIP on Questrade or you just let Passiv re-invest any cash back into your portfolio based on the model splits? IIRC, the dividends are paid straight to your balance on Questrade as cash. I'm not sure. You could probably cover this in a video. I think it's an interesting topic. I actually really appreciate this tool you provided! I always see manual portfolio trackers and such but I just don't have the time and patience to sit down and fill in things and I'd rather see it as it updates. Quest trade being my favorite Canadian broker still has it's limits in visual features and tools to help you set goals and allocate your portfolio properly. I'm very much down to support companies like this and hopefully they become even more detailed over time. I'd love to see pie charts and maybe dividend trackers.

Can you set it up to do rebalancing by sectors for diversification etc... ie utilities vs financials vs Non-cyclical consumer stocks vs oil/energy vs renewables etc.... it looks like you can set allocation by individual stocks but not by sector? Maybe via using the asset class feature... may want to look at that feature for a video...

This might be fine for a registered account, but for a margin account where you have to to record the ACB of all your positions, it would drive me nuts constantly updating everything.

Hi Brandon, Since you have great deal of knowledge in brokerage, I have a question regarding National Bank Brokerage, Lets see you have heard or know about it. What is option assignment fees in their fees chars. It's pretty hefty. I was with Interactive and never heard this fees. Can you put some light on this option assignment fees. It’s cool but it’s misleading because the demo shows Wealthsimple however this option is not available. Which means you would have to likely manually enter it all

I just signed up and it requires you to add your brokerage. No option to enter your positions manually.

Passiv is a joke. It works with only a few brokerages (Questrade being one of them), and it doesn't work with bonds. BTW, Questrade's minimum commission is $4.99. CI Direct Trading's minimum commission is $0.99 for non-registered (margin/option) accounts.
