Thanks so much my brother Baruch!! I developed a Passion Week devotion last year (2020) that follows each day of the week as you have explained. It was really neat in 2020 since 14 Nisan fell on our Tuesday/Wednesday and 18 Nisan on our Saturday/Sunday (the first day of the week). I do think that we can also see clearly that Jesus was anointed on 10 Nisan by Mary while at Lazarus' home, representing the selection of the Passover Lamb. Jesus cleanses the temple representing the cleaning of the leaven before the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Jesus also spent four days in Jerusalem while he taught in the Temple being examined by the people and Priests for the Passover Lamb must be unblemished to be acceptable as a suitable sacrifice. All the charges brought before the Sanhedrin and Pilate were trumped up charges, even Pilate declared Him to be without sin. Our Passover Lamb slain for our transgressions who not only covers our sin, but also releases us from the bondage of sin. We no longer have to live in or go back to Egypt, He has set us set free!! Shalom!

Wow! Thanks so much for this teaching! Iv been asking people for years what we are to do to honor our LORD JESUS CHRIST -Yeshua and basically no one really knows or they have different dates and it gets so confusing to me. I really appreciate your explanations. I dreaded being confused again this year with no one to ask and it is to Honor OUR redeemer to do what we can, least that’s how I feel. HE is most important and precious to us and in love we seek what we are able to do especially without man made traditions added on. ❤️

Actually this specific one Pesach was given on Shemot 12. Vayikra 23 refers to ALL the feast including the Shabbat. Also feast mentioned in Devarim 16. Shalom Pesach Sameach!!!!

The date of death of Christ is Nisan 15. Preamble: - According to the Bible, the year began on Nisan 1. (Esther 3:7) According to the Hebrew custom, the New Moon that time-marked the beginning of the lunar month was at the optical conjunction of the Sun, earth and moon at the point in time when the moon is not visible to the naked eye when viewed from Jerusalem. During their captivity in Babylonia, the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews who were in majority, were deceived into adopting the Babylonian method for determining the New Moon that time-marked the beginning of the lunar month. The Babylonian method for determining the New Moon (i.e. beginning of the lunar month) was at the sighting of the first moon crescent 🌙, which lagged by 15-40 hours, or on average by two (2) days, after the optical conjunction of the Sun, the earth, and the moon. This resulted in two (2) annual Passovers being celebrated by the Jews: - 🔹The 'believing' Jews (which included Christ and His disciples) celebrated the Passover on God's 'appointed' day for the Passover, which was the true Nisan 14. 🔹The 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews (i.e. Pharisees, Sadducees, etc), who were the vast majority of Jews, celebrated the Passover on Nisan 16, which was two (2) days after God's 'appointed' day for the Passover on Nisan 14. However, the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews believed that the TRUE Nisan 16 was Nisan 14. Odd, but true! The above explains why Jesus and His disciples celebrated the Passover on God's 'appointed' day on Nisan 14, whereas the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Jews celebrated the Passover two (2) days later on Nisan 16, but believing it to be Nisan 14. Note: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, from hereon: - 🔹All dates for the month of Nisan are the TRUE dates. 🔹The term, 'day of Preparation' refers to the day of Preparation that was observed by the 'believing' Jews (including Christ and His disciples) on God's 'appointed' day for the day of Preparation, and therefore, the TRUE date of Nisan 13. 🔹The term, 'day of Passover' refers to the day of Passover that was celebrated by the 'believing' Jews (including Christ and His disciples) on God's 'appointed' day for the day of Passover, and therefore, the TRUE date of Nisan 14. According to the Hebrew custom that was based on Genesis ch. 1, the day began at sunset 🌇 of one day, and ended at sunset 🌇 of the next day. The time of day was measured using a sundial because mechanical and electronic devices for measuring time had not been invented. The sundials were accurate but not precise to the minute or second, because the increment markings on the sundial were not finely detailed. On Nisan 13 (day of Preparation): - On the day of Preparation on Nisan 13, which was one day PRIOR TO the 7-day Feast of Unleavened BREAD (a.k.a. the Passover), a certain unnamed man 'prepared' the house for the celebration of the Passover. The 'preparation' involved removing all leaven (yeast) and all leavened food products (e.g. leavened bread), from the entire house 🏡, and cleaning the house 🏡 to ensure that no leaven (yeast) was present in the house 🏡. (Ex 12:15) On Nisan 14 (day of Passover): - Christ and His twelve disciples celebrated the Passover during the night 🌃 on God's 'appointed' day on Nisan 14. It is completely inconceivable for Christ to celebrate the Passover on a day other than God's 'appointed' day on Nisan 14. (Ex 12:1-28). Immediately after sunset 🌇 that time-marked the beginning of the day of Passover on Nisan 14, the Passover lamb was humanely slaughtered, some of its blood was taken and applied onto the two side posts and on the upper door post of the house, and the Passover lamb was then roasted until it was fully cooked. (Ex 12:7) Once fully roasted, the meat of the Passover lamb was eaten hurriedly with unleavened bread and bitter herbs by all persons present who at all times while eating had their loins (waist) girded, their shoes on their feet, and their staff in their hand. This is full of symbolism, and in the context of the NT, it means the true followers of Christ must at all times be ready for the coming of Christ, be serving Christ, etc. (Ex 12:8) On the following morning at sunrise 🌅 or shortly thereafter (but under no circumstances prior to sunrise 🌅), Christ and His eleven (11) disciples (one less because Judas Iscariot had already departed into the night 🌃), exited the house 🏡 and walked to the Mount of Olives where Christ spoke to His disciples for the good part of the day. Note that this day was still Nisan 14 because the day ended at the following sunset 🌇. Either late in the afternoon of the day of Nisan 14, or at the beginning of the following day (i.e. at sunset 🌇 or shortly thereafter), Christ and His disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane. On Nisan 15 (one day AFTER the day of Passover): - Christ prayed in agony for about one hour in the garden of Gethsemane, during which time His disciples could not stay awake. Why? Because they were up all night 🌃 during the celebration of the Passover on the previous night 🌃, and probably had not slept for approximately 36 hours since the early morning of Nisan 13. (Matt 26:36-45) Christ was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane in the early evening on Nisan 15 because the day began at sunset 🌇, and His arrest was at night 🌃 because the Temple guards of the Sanhedrin carried lanterns and torches. (John 18:3) After being taken to the palace of the High Priest Caiaphas where He was tried, beaten and abused during the night 🌃 of Nisan 15 until the following morning (which was still Nisan 15), Christ was then questioned by Pontius Pilate, then crucified sometimes between the third (3rd) hour of the day and noon 🕛 (between 8:42 a.m. and noon 🕛 according to astronomical data). Christ died at about the ninth (9th) hour of the day (~3:20 p.m. according to astronomical data), but the day was still Nisan 15 because the sunset 🌇 that time-marked the beginning of Nisan 16 was approximately three (3) hours away. (Matt 27:46) Christ was buried on Nisan 15 PRIOR TO sunset 🌇 that time-marked the beginning of the next day which in that particular year was both the weekly Sabbath and the FALSE day of Passover on Nisan 16, which the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews thought was Nisan 14. According to astronomical data, that sunset 🌇 was at 6:20 p.m.). That explains why the disciples had to bury Christ hurriedly PRIOR TO sunset 🌇 that time-marked the beginning of the weekly Sabbath on which all work (including burials) was prohibited. So, the arrest, mock trial, questioning by Pontius Pilate, crucifixion, death, and burial of Christ, all occurred on the SAME day on Nisan 15. In the year of death of Christ, Nisan 15 corresponds to Friday 7 April of AD 30 on the calculated Gregorian calendar. This date is derived from the following scriptures in the Bible: 🔹Mark 14:32-36,37,40,45-46 🔹Mark 15:1,25,33-34,37,42-43,46 🔹John 18:28-30 🔹John 19:16,31 In the year of death of Christ (but not every year), the "Jews' Preparation" (i.e. the day of Preparation for the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews) was on Nisan 15 (which to them was Nisan 13), and was also the day before the weekly Sabbath on which all work (including burials) was prohibited. (Mark 15:42) The 'day of Preparation' (i.e. the removal of all leaven from the house 🏡) is the day before the day of Passover (Ex 12:15). However, because the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews who were in the majority, observed the day of Preparation and the day of Passover two (2) days later on the FALSE days for these two events, in the year of death of Christ, the "Jews' Preparation" was on the day of crucifixion and death of Christ on the Nisan 15. (John 19:14; 19:31; 19:42). That is the reason why the 'unbelieving' but highly religious chief priests and scribes of the Orthodox Jews conspired to kill Jesus PRIOR TO the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread or the Passover (Luke 22:1-6), and wanted the dead body of Christ to be removed from the cross as soon as possible (John 19:31). Notice that John 19:42 states that 'they' (i.e. the disciples of Jesus, including Joseph of Arimathaea and Nicodemus), buried the body of Jesus in a sepulcher (tomb) in a hurry because of the "Jews' preparation day" (i.e. the day before the FALSE day of Passover on the FALSE Nisan 16). (John 19:42) Notice that John 19:42 includes the term "Jews' preparation day". Why? Because that day was not the TRUE day of Preparation on Nisan 13, but was in fact Nisan 15, and was the day AFTER Nisan 14 on which Christ and His disciples (and no doubt all other 'believing' Jews who were in the minority), had already celebrated the Passover on God's 'appointed' and therefore TRUE day of Passover on Nisan 14. However, the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews (i.e. Pharisees, Sadducees, etc), thought that the Nisan 15 was Nisan 13. On Nisan 16 (two (2) days AFTER the day of Passover): - In the year of death of Christ (but not every year), the "Jews' Passover" on the FALSE date of Nisan 16 was on the weekly Sabbath. And when the day of Passover fell on the weekly Sabbath, the Sabbath was called the 'high day' (i.e. special Sabbath). (John 19:31) The 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews who were in the majority, began celebrating the "Jews' Passover" approximately three (3) hours after the death of Christ, which was immediately after sunset 🌇 on Nisan 16. However, they falsely believed that that day was Nisan 14.
