I'm a Colombian that has lived in the USA for 50 years. Before, it never even entered my mind to live in Colombia, I even rejected being Colombian. How wrong I was, it's just a matter of time before moving to Colombia, maybe even Spain. The only thing that is giving me 2nd. thoughts now is the current goverment. But yes, Colombia is a beautilful country, I'm just sorry that I did not see that in my earlier years. Best wishes.

Originally / rececently, "passport bros" described Western men seeking overseas women. The description in this post seems to expand that to just seeking a life overseas. I am in Medellin as I write this, visiting my Colombian wife's family. I met my wife in Medellin in 2008 and we married in 2010 and live in North Carolina now, so I guess I was a "passport bro" before it was a term. A few observations: 1) while the USD$ IS stronger against many currencies, it's been dropping steadily for the last few months (down 8% against the Colombian peso in just one month), so be careful about making future plans based on the current dollar:peso exchange rate. With the decline of the US stature in the world (thanks to " Brandon") it's predicted to continue to decline as some countries buy in Chinese Yuan now instead of US dollars. 2) Under the current Colombian (socialist) President, there is a lot of uncertainty about the economic stability for the middle and upper class (which many Passport Bros would become if they live here and earn in USD). Inflation is very bad here as in the US, but it is still is more affordable for US citizens than native Colombians. If you are considering moving here (I am currently considering retiring here - I am 66 but my (still hot) Colombian wife is only 47), there are a ton of things to factor in. This Channel is doing a great job providing info to potential passport bros, but here is a valuable website to dig further into the details you need to know. www.medellinadvisors.com/

Feliz keep in mind that not everyone can "leave now" as they are involved in careers that don't cater to full time remote work. And not everyone is cut out to be a KZbin content creator. And if working a Colombian job for Colombian money, odds are good you wouldn't be online telling everyone to "leave now." You feel this way because you are collecting and/or earning US dollars which go further in Latin America. This isn't rocket science and requires no epiphanies. And the country you are down on is the same that has and likely still is giving you the opportunity to acquire a level of resources that put you among the top earners in Colombia. 😃😃

Yes, I would be cautious if I was in my 20’s, 30’s or even 40’s without a financial backup plan like an annuity, pension, significant savings or some sort of stable income that you can truely rely on long term. Living abroad is a serious commitment and I’m not against it. I have a visa for Colombia but I am going to make sure financially everything is all set first. I will be living in Colombia in the near future but if things go to hell like they did in Venezuela you need a back up plan. I don’t think this will happen in Colombia and pray it never does. My advice would be to prepare wisely.

Even though the title of his video seems as though it applies to everyone, of course it does not. Felix might not even realize it himself, but his target group is Men who are single, Divorced or Retired and already have money or a stable income of some sort. These men are tired of the direction their country is going, the Inflation and prices of everything going up and up, and tired of the silly dating games in USA, and are brave enough to move to another country with their American dollars and make a new life. This is nothing new, American Military service men have been doing this for years! Marrying Foreign women and going to live in another country with their retirement dollars and enjoy their life ,which is what most people want, is to be happy with their life.

Hawaii is probably as liberal as it gets in the US with the exception of California. Fortunately, Colombia historically was more conservative, but things are changing under the current (and first) socialist President. Still, I agree with Felix on the content of most of his videos and would definitely recommend a visit to Colombia to check things out. It is nearly impossible to get a decent job working for a company in Colombia, but for those foreigners who can earn in their native currency as a nomad, it can be a very rewarding move.

I think it was about moving abroad for a traditional woman. Digital nomad is not really the same thing, just someone that travels the world while working online…..at least that is my understanding. If you have found your happiness where you are living,, Great! more power to you sir, but not everyone has found what they are looking for or desire. I think I was incredibly lucky in finding my wife, who, fortunately, has not become "westernized" after 13 years in the US. I would say that @stoic is partly correct, because there ARE fewer and fewer "traditional" women in Colombia and not surprisingly, the younger the woman, the less likely they will have the same "traditional values" as women over 40. Social Media has "polluted" those values as it has in the US. I believe that the opportunities for finding the type of women that passport bros seek is still 10x higher than in the US, but you still have to vet the women carefully. GETTING TO KNOW her family will help a lot to determine who she really is.
