Jabril, love your videos and I am a fan and subscriber. Your statement at the beginning of the video that SF is a liberal city and is open and welcoming is not true my friend. As a 31 year resident of both SF and Sausalito I have found tolerance has depreciated at such a ridiculous rate that it is embarrassing to us as residents who are open minded and middle of the road. I will continue to follow your wonderful content, but people around my hood do not tolerate anything but groupthink and closed minded judgement of anyone outside of that groupthink. God Bless.

Thank you acknowleding the homeless in your video and educating. I was talking about this with my friend the other night how we bet most people do not realize just how prevalent the homeless are in the city, especially downtown. We were at a restaurant outside eating and a woman sat next to us at a table. Obviously be cautious, but really there is no threat. She just wanted to talk. They're people too and generally are just friendly.

Well actually the majority of the homeless people in San Francisco has always been in the Downtown area of San Francisco which is in the T.L. (Tenderloin) You don't see it in other parts of the city. Well the South of Market which isn't far from the Downtown area. But it's been like this for many years. Unfortunately, the homeless people from around the United States like to come to San Francisco, because it doesn't snow and it doesn't get as cold as the other cities in California. I know San Francisco like the back of my hand. He did a good job presenting my city. That hotel he mentioned Proper is a fairly new hotel, it used to be and Apartment Bldg. back in the day. But he is right about not leaving stuff in your car. These are not people who live in San Francisco who are committing these crimes. These are outsiders. SO MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR BELONGINGS IN THE TRUNK BEFORE YOU GET TO YOUR DESTINATION. DO NOT DO IT WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR DESTINATION, BECAUSE THEY WILL BREAK IN YOUR CAR....

@@katievannie Sure! Things not to carry: A backpack, purse, brief case, cell phone, iPad, watch, a girlfriend, nice clothes, shopping bags, a bible, glasses, tight fitting clothes, or any jewelry! That list is based on SFPD crime reports. :( And that is why people will continue to work from home.

I visited San Fran last year for the first time. I stayed in Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s now officially my new favorite city. First day I got to see a baseball game at Oracle Park! Despite it’s struggles I love the place. There is so much more to see and do there. As Arnold would say “ I’ll be back!”

Yan Mck-Sam - Exactly, there are a lot of things to do in San Francisco or better yet the BayArea. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless in the downtown area. But once you get out of that area there are a lot of things to see.

Great video as usual, but you didn't explain why the gold rush people were called the 49ers. It was because the California Gold Rush began in 1848 but it took a year for the word to get out, and so by the time 1849 rolled around, thousands of fortune hunters had arrived in Northern California to mine for gold. The miners who arrived that year faced very favorable odds of getting rich, hence the name the 49ers. It relates to the year 1849, the year of the major gold rush.
