If you recall though, in Mommie Dearest the daughter made a point that Joan loved her fans and was always very friendly and adoring to them. @@keithhyttinen8275 It is not a matter of "affordability" but the fact that for the most part, people no longer have nor care to have a sense of elegance, manners and poise. If there is one country where you can buy great clothes for very little money is right here in the United States. A person can go to a thrift store or a consignment shop and buy very nice items to dress elegantly. However, clothes alone will not do. People today lack elegance, poise, distinction and manners. That is the real problem and let me point out that the lack of manners and elegance also has to do with society's celebration of what is vulgar and unintelligent, something that did not start in the 70s and 80s but rather in the mid-90s. This has been in steady decline to the atrocious levels we experience today.
