Fun fact in.thr book the beast within gaston and the beast used to be great friends with both being msrcacist. But well things got real crazy with gaston getting him and the beast cursed by an enchantress where the curse took time while gaston didnt know he was cursed and after the beast became full animalistic he locked himself up,locking himself away from everyone including gaston
